⛔️Incorrectly installed oil control ring⛔️
Due to the overlapping of the expander spring during installation, its circumferential length is shortened. This results in a fracture in the expander spring and/or loss of tension for the 3-piece oil control rings. The blades are no longer pressed tightly against the cylinder wall and no longer scrape off the oil. Oil enters the combustion chamber, where it is burned. This results in excessive oil consumption.
⚠️CAUTION⚠️
Both coloured parts of the expander spring must be visible after installation of the 3-piece oil control rings. These colour-coded marks should therefore always be checked (even on pre-installed piston rings) before installation of the pistons.

⛔️Ölfabstreichring Montagefehler⛔️
Durch den überlappten Einbau der Expanderfeder wird die Umfangslänge verkürzt. Folge: Bruch der Expanderfeder und/ oder Spannungsverlust der Lamellen. Diese liegen nicht mehr dicht an der Zylinderwand an und streifen das Öl nicht mehr ab. Das Öl gerät in den Brennraum und verbrennt dort. Folge: Exzessiver Ölverbrauch.
⚠️ACHTUNG⚠️
Beide Farben der Expanderfeder müssen nach der Montage der Lamellenringe sichtbar sein. Diese Kennzeichnung deshalb immer – auch bei vormontierten Kolbenringen – vor dem Einbau der Kolben kontrollieren.
